Itinerary
-
Begin the adventure in Chengdu, one of China's most storied cities. Stroll through the ancient lanes of Jinli Street, explore the Wuhou Shrine to learn about the Three Kingdoms era, and catch a lively Sichuan opera face-changing performance in the evening. A perfect warm-up that blends history, art, and unforgettable local cuisine.
-
Head to Ya'an, the gateway to western Sichuan. Visit the Bifengxia Giant Panda Base for an up-close look at these beloved animals in a semi-wild setting — kids can learn about conservation efforts firsthand.
In the afternoon, walk a section of the ancient Tea-Horse Road, tracing the footsteps of merchants who carried tea and silk across the mountains for centuries.
-
Arrive at the scenic Selong Village, nestled among golden alpine meadows and snow-capped peaks. Embark on a guided family hike through the highlands, discovering yak herds, wildflowers, and sweeping valley views.
-
Drive into the enchanting Danba valley, famous for its ancient watchtowers and Jiarong Tibetan villages.
Spend a half-day at a local forest school, where children take part in nature-based activities — plant identification, ecological mapping, and traditional crafts using materials from the surrounding forest.
-
Spend a day immersed in the grandeur of Mt. Siguniang—the 'Four Sisters Mountain'—a UNESCO World Heritage Site revered as the 'Alps of the East.'
Stand in silent wonder before Yao Mei (6,250m), the 'Youngest Sister,' her snow-capped summit piercing the sky.
-
As we return to Chengdu, we'll stop at Dujiangyan Irrigation System – a 2,300-year-old engineering wonder that turned the Chengdu plains into China's most fertile 'Land of Abundance.'
We'll finish our journey back in vibrant Chengdu, where modern energy meets timeless tradition.
